TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Meridian, Idaho, 83642 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Women's Services - Labor and Delivery (L&D) Job Duration: 15 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required to submit Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Stable (completed at least once), AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and circulating; triage experience strongly preferred Job Description: - Work in a Women's Services unit with 10 L&D beds and 10 postpartum beds. - Circulate in 2 OR suites for C-sections and manage 4 triage beds. - Handle approximately 120 births per month on average. - Follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios, primarily 1:1 in L&D and 1:6 in postpartum. - Care for patients including laboring individuals from 32 weeks and greater, elective and medical induction of labor, stable antepartum patients, postpartum patients, and well newborns. - Capability to titrate drips, primarily Pitocin per protocol, magnesium, and rarely insulin. - Collaborate with a Charge Nurse, Resource RN, and House Supervisor each shift who do not have patient assignments. - Support from certified nursing assistants for L&D/PP/NICU, unit clerk available 24/7. - OB hospitalist in-house 24/7, midwives on call, and Neonatal NP 24/7; Neonatologist available within 15 minutes. - CRNA anesthesia services are available 24/7. - Utilize the GE Connect EFM System and EpicCare Inpatient - EMR charting system. - Engage in flexible scheduling accommodating preferences for 12-hour shifts ranging from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. - Weekend and holiday shifts based on unit needs; no call or standby requirement. - Required to float to similar units as needed. - Provided with blue scrubs on the unit, dress code to be followed. - Custom orientation ranging from 4 to 6 shifts based on the traveler's need. - Staff cannot work more than five shifts in a row as per hospital policy. 26316341EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Change environments regularly to prevent burnout, maintaining enthusiasm and passion for your nursing career.
