TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Modesto, California, 95356 About The Position Job Title: Maternal Child Health Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery - Critical Need Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Labor and Delivery License: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) Certifications: - Basic Life Support - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program Must-Have: - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification - Participation in Winter Plan Job Description: - Provide comprehensive nursing care for mothers and newborns during labor and delivery. - Monitor, assess, and document the condition of mothers and newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. - Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care strategies. - Administer medications and perform specialized procedures as per the care plan. - Educate and support mothers and families throughout labor and delivery, addressing any concerns. - Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and nursing standards. - Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations in the labor and delivery setting. - Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field, and one year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years. - High-risk obstetric experience is preferred.
