TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Richmond, Virginia, 23229 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active compact license Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, AWHONN Must-Have: - Recent (within the previous 2 years) Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring - L&D experience - Current NRP and BLS certification Job Description: - Work in a unit with 16 labor, delivery, recovery rooms; 3 operating rooms; and 3 triage rooms - Participate in labor, delivery, recovery, triage, and antepartum services - Assist in circulating for C-sections and provide first-hour baby care (excludes admission assessment, eyes, and thighs) - Provide breastfeeding assistance - Collaborate with a diverse team, including 24/7 hospitalist and midwife coverage, anesthesia, and neonatologist - Ensure patient preferences are central to care - Utilize equipment such as Novii monitors, iMobile, and deep soaker tubs - Maintain EMR using CPN and Meditech - Adhere to AWHONN patient ratios, potentially 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 for lower acuity cases - Follow the dress code of navy blue scrubs and any closed shoes, with tattoos and piercings covered - Be part of a team recognized for excellence, having received awards for labor and delivery performance Preferred: - Experience in facilities with 3,000 births per year - Strong fit for cultural diversity in team settings 26316288EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS BLS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing If you have a sense of adventure, travel nursing provides the opportunity to explore different cities, states, or even countries.
