Will adhere to the standards of behavior, and confidentiality-HIPAA guidelines at all times. Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatments. Appropriately documents all patient care given. Monitors, records and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and family. Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation, monitoring vital signs, monitoring blood glucose levels, recording accurate intake and output on the unit to which assigned Performs plan of care intervention, including vital signs, specimen collection, ambulation, basic patient care activities as delegated by an RN Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/ psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Delivers quality patient care while completing assignments in compliance with the Nursing Process, the Arizona Practice Act, The Joint Commission-TJC, and State Regulations. Maintains compliance with organizational policies, as well as established practices, protocols, procedures of the position, department and applicable professional standards. The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for a given population based upon age specific and cultural needs. This is done in a collaboration multidisciplinary approach embracing quality and safety. Coordinates delivery of care for the unit and facilitates problem solving with staff members and communicates necessary issues with unit director. Certifications X Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association upon hire. If new hired does not have AHA, they will have 30 days after hire to obtain. If employee already has ACLS, BLS is not required.
