TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Cartersville, Georgia, 30120 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Guaranteed Hours: Information not specified Experience: Minimum 2 Years; Unit accepts first-time travelers License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Must-Have: PICC Line management Job Description: - Work with adult to geriatric patients in a Medical Surgical Unit. - Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5-6. - Utilize systems like Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR in daily tasks. - Availability for 4 weekend shifts a month, but not necessarily every other weekend. - Expected to float to other departments; may include working in a CNA/tech role if assigned to ER or ICU with Medical Surgical acuity patients. - Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant, the start will be delayed by 2 weeks due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule. - Flexibility on holidays; if the assignment period includes major holidays, candidates are expected to work either one or two of them based on the number of holidays in the period. - Attend 13 hours of orientation to familiarize with the role and responsibilities. Additional Requirements: - Candidates must submit core items and complete/schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract to ensure an on-time start. - Must have been away from any facility in the first-choice selection for one full year to be eligible for a traveling assignment. - Two supervisory references are highly preferred, preferably from a Manager or above.
