TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Fargo, North Dakota, 58122 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical Surgical (Med Surg) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, Straight nights or rotate days and nights; Every other weekend and holiday required Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year recent Medical Surgical experience required; Experience with Surgical Oncology patients preferred but not required License: Active RN License from ND or Compact state Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - must be American Heart Association (AHA) certified Must-Have: Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system; Experience working in a larger hospital (minimum 200 beds), level 2 or higher trauma center Job Description: - Care for Medical Surgical patients and Surgical Oncology patients - Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care - Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge - Utilize appropriate age and population-specific standards in the clinical setting - Equipment utilized includes EMR-Epic, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, Telemetry - Flexibility to float to any Med Surg unit on any campus - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 during day shift and 6:1 during night shift - Navy blue scrubs are required for the dress code - Participate in a training program, including 1 day of lead center training and 2-12 hour shifts on the unit with a preceptor Additional Notes: Candidates should not live within 60 miles of the facility but may live 61 to 80 miles away under specific conditions.
