About The Position RN - MedSurg/ED Location: Newberry, MI Duration: Fulltime Description: General job duties. Types of procedures required. Med/Surg- Completing daily patient assessments, passing medications, monitoring IV drips, monitoring telemetry, admitting/discharging patients, daily rounding with interdisciplinary team, and assisting with patient transfers when necessary. ED- patient assessments, medication administration, assisting providers with procedures (intubation, chest tubes, central lines), assisting with patient transfers, admissions and discharges. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EHR that we utilize is Centriq. The medication dispensing system is Pyxis for both units. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Two years of experience. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) BLS, ACLS and PALS. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments) The employee will be working both Med/Surg and the ED.
