TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Westminster, Colorado, 80023 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Float Pool Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts - 3x12 Hours per week Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 per week Experience: Preferred one year of experience License: State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the NLC Certifications: - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification Must-Have: - Patient care skills - Proficiency with EPIC - Ability to communicate effectively in English (Speak, Read, Write) Job Description: - Assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and the patient/family. - Identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients. - Promote optimal health, well-being, and safety of patients through the nursing process and according to care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. - Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. - Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of medical records and clinical data. - Evaluate patients' responses and intervene to ensure optimal outcomes. - Develop and implement patient care plans and observe outcomes in alignment with nursing standards and team collaboration. - Demonstrate competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections. - Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient. - Provide patient and family education, assessing teaching effectiveness. - Recognize patients or designees as partners in compassionate and coordinated care. - Deliver care with respect for cultural differences and diversity. - Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel following state and hospital policy. - Effectively use time, personnel, equipment, and supplies to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care. - Be a professional role model demonstrating ethical, legal, and professional standards. - Manage resources and patient flow matching nursing competencies with patient and unit needs. - Use standards of care, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice. - Function effectively within inter-professional teams fostering communication, respect, and shared decision-making. - Precept/mentor new staff or nursing students as needed. - Seek learning opportunities and continuing education to maintain skills and competence. - Maintain professional records for evidence of competency and lifelong learning. - Evaluate personal integrity and nursing practice standards, taking action to achieve goals identified during evaluations. - Be prepared to float to different locations within a defined zone as needed, which may involve different duties in accordance with policy. 26266142EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Embrace the nomadic lifestyle with pride, celebrating the uniqueness and diversity of each assignment.
