TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Long Beach, California, 90806 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - NICU Job Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required License: Must have a valid California Nursing License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Must-Have: - Experience with NICU III - Knowledge of EPIC Documentation System - Skills in phototherapy, tube feeding/gavage, and peripheral line management Job Description: - First-time candidates are accepted if they have more than 2 years of NICU experience. - Floating required to PICU and CTICU as needed. - Every other weekend or weekend coverage as needed; must be flexible. - No on-call requirement. - Required skills include managing blood and blood products, PICC management, administering anti-seizure medications, caffeine, vasopressors, neonatal abstinence care, phlebotomy, bubble CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and ventilator RTO restrictions. - Pre-approved time off is at the discretion of the manager and must be included at the time of submission. - Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only. - Candidates must have travel experience and local applicants accepted at a lower base rate. - 1 reference required within the last 2 years. - Candidates will float within the hospital based on census changes. - Previous permanent staff are not eligible. - Completion of non-billable modules required, with RN hours at eight and Allied hours at four, completed before the start date, and vary by specialty.
