*Summary*

The purpose of your job position is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the Nursing

Services staff on the evening shift and provide direct nursing care to the residents, in accordance with current

federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required

by the Director of Nursing Services (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADON) to ensure that the

highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

*Responsibilities*

1. Assist with evening admission or re-admission to the facility.

2. Assist with data entry review of physician orders.

3. Assist nurses with incidents, emergencies, etc. as needed to ensure quality care is performed.

4. Assist with charting as needed.

5. Assist with discharge/transfer process.

6. Utilizes communication systems to be knowledgeable of any unusual occurrences during the

previous shifts and to update upcoming shifts.

7. Makes rounds frequently during the shift providing intervention as needed.

8. Prepares and administers medications as ordered and according to policies and procedures.

9. Supervises the meal service.

10. Document on nurse's notes as per policy. Assures there is accurate and timely documentation of

any unusual observation, incident, or happening.

11. Assists in the ordering and reviewing of results of laboratory tests as indicated. Notifies

physician of results.

12. Assists in providing services for assigned staff.

13. Performs any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
