Key Responsibilities : Manage Unit Operations : Work closely with the Director to oversee daily operations, ensuring proper staffing levels and effective scheduling. Supervise and Support Staff : Lead nursing and Patient Care Technician (PCT) staff, ensuring optimal care delivery and fostering team collaboration. Serve as Charge Nurse : Oversee patient care during clinical shifts, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of service. Scheduling : Develop and maintain Nursing and PCT schedules, ensuring efficient staffing and workload distribution. Policy Development : Collaborate with the Director and Nurse Educator to develop, revise, and implement unit policies and procedures based on best practices. Staff Performance : Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, constructive counseling, and goal-setting to support staff development. Promote a Culture of Improvement : Encourage continuous improvement and professional growth while maintaining a strong focus on high-quality, patient-centered care. Direct Patient Care : Assist with patient care, education, and support, particularly for oncology infusion patients. Staff Training and Orientation : Oversee the orientation and training of new staff, in collaboration with the Nurse Director and Nurse Educator. Resource Management : Maintain and manage unit supplies, equipment, and resources to ensure smooth operations. Hospital Participation : Participate in hospital committees, quality improvement programs, and initiatives to enhance care standards. Patient Rights : Ensure patient rights, privacy, and dignity are respected in all aspects of care. Qualifications : Current MA RN License required. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Minimum 2 years of experience in infusion therapy, with specialized expertise in oncology infusion . Leadership Experience : Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role required. Education : Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program required; BSN preferred . Additional Coursework : Education or coursework in business, health administration, or public health is a plus.
