Must have 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience and EPIC experience. Day shift, Monday through Friday. ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification Required. The Oncology Infusion registered nurse is a member of the cancer care team who will work in the Infusion area of Sidney Health Center Cancer Care. This position provides the delivery of professional oncology nursing care ensuring adherence to Cancer Care policies and nursing procedures, standards and practices, continued quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and/or infection control standards. Duties include, but are not limited to: assessment of health history, addressing physician orders, in-office procedures, patient & family education, chemotherapy administration, cancer symptom management, patient monitoring through frequent visits on their physical state, as well as their emotional well-being, acts as the primary conduit of communication with patients, often relaying patient information and feedback to physicians, providing direct nursing care, including triage of patient care needs. The oncology registered nurse applies clinical knowledge, judgment, and decision-making skills to analyze and act on patient care issues, and additional duties assigned by Cancer Care Director or Physician Services Senior Executive.
