TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Toledo, Ohio, 43606 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week Experience: Minimum of 2 Years in Acute Care License: Active State License Required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, EPIC charting experience preferred, experience with Heparin Protocols, Medical/Religious Exemption for COVID-19 and Flu Vaccine Only Job Description: - Work in a mixed unit encompassing PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg. - Maintain ratios of 1:4 for all shifts. - Provide care for adult and geriatric patients with renal, urology, and vascular diagnoses. - Perform special procedures such as CAPD and CBI. - Utilize telemetry and cardiac monitoring for emergency response and dysrhythmia management. - Provide genitourinary/renal care, including renal failure management. - Perform IV therapy and peripheral line care/management. - Administer medications and manage Heparin Protocols. - Conduct respiratory/thoracic care, including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management. - Utilize computerized charting with EPIC. - Float within service line as needed, including to various nearby facilities. - Work alternating weekends as required: Friday and Saturday for night shifts. - Able to work with minimal supervision and adapt to schedule changes with notice. - Complete a basic Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam, travel between various specialties as needed. - Participate in orientation and complete required modules.
