TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Job Specialty: Pediatrics Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 7pm to 7am (3 X 12 hours) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: 1 year of experience required License: Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications: - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association - PALS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience - High acuity experience Job Description: - Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to a range of pediatric patients with simple to complex health problems. - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and treatments. - Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures. - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene as necessary. - Administer prescribed medications and manage intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver competent patient care and interact effectively with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge procedures. - Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and make referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support staff as needed. - Perform other duties as assigned.
