**Description** _Summary:_The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, implements or delegates, plans, andevaluates total nursing care and functions in accordance with establishedphilosophy, providing and directing patient care for a group of patients. TheRegistered Nurse (RN) relates effectively with other shiftsdepartments foroptimal continuity of care. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinicalsupervision for entry level nurses and assists in their development.The CVORGen Surg RN will service both general surgery and CV surgical lines.This nurse will work with all the service lines that we support at WestoverHills. Although this position supports general surgery the primary will becardiovascular based on patient census and scheduling. This position is fulltime, includes on-call, and is heavily involved with the CV team. Thisposition will work closely with the cardiovascular surgeons, andcardiovascular committee, and supply chain to ensure high performance andpatient assessment. CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) is a 150-bed hospitalserving the fastest growing area of San Antonio. Specialized care includesorthopedic and surgical services, ICU, women's services, a newborn nursery,comprehensive cardiovascular care from diagnostics to open heart surgery,vascular lab, sleep center, emergency services, the CHRISTUS Weight LossInstitute, wound care, rehabilitation, and more.
