The Oncology Office Practice RN - Multiple Myeloma is a Registered Nurse (RN) position supporting The Oncology Ambulatory Clinics.
This role is involved in the entire continuum of care for patients serving as a resource to both the patient and provider team.
This experienced oncology nurse is responsible for the complex, multi-disciplinary care coordination of oncology patients and responsible for developing, evaluating, and revising the plan of care using a team approach that includes the patient, family, and care team.
These clinics provide both standard of care and research chemotherapy/immunotherapy, supportive care infusions, and clinical interventions.
Other performance and patient outcome services include nurse telephone triage, discharge planning, care coordination, ambulatory clinical evaluation, and advanced drug preparation.
Patients are seen in our NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
This nurse will support adult patients with our Multiple Myeloma Service.

Qualifications:
BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program required
Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
BLS CPR certification required
3 years of RN work experience in oncology required
Ability to provide guidance and direction to staff, hold self and others accountable, act as a clinical resource, coach staff, lead QI/EBP initiatives, and support the unit operationally in the absence of the Lead Clinical Nurse / Nurse Manager.

Ability to role model and support practices consistent with evidenced based care, guide others with plan of care, independently make clinical decisions in complex situations, and proactively assist others with patient assignment.
