Responsibilities: - As a ShiftMed registered nurse, you'll be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Ongoing patient assessment and observation to ensure optimum health levels
- Administering and recording medications per facility policy and procedures
- Transcribing and implementing written, verbal, and electronic physician orders
- Delegating appropriate tasks to nurse aides and ensuring proper care delivery
- Supervising clinical operations for nursing and clinical care activities
- Performing assessment data collection in an ongoing, systemic manner
- Reviewing and evaluating data collected by other healthcare professionals
- Developing care plans that prescribe nursing actions to achieve patient goals
- Identifying patient/family learning needs and implementing appropriate processes
- Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication
- Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Ongoing flexibility regarding patient assignments, floating, and related staffing issues
- Promoting a positive work environment and demonstrating a positive attitude
