The Health Services Director at Fern Park Developmental Center is responsible for supervising all LPN's, medication administration, treatments, and medical oversight for the clients.Responsibilities:Provide direct patient care, including assessments, evaluations, and treatmentsManage LPN staff - perform evaluations and overall supervisionAdminister medications and treatments as prescribed by physiciansMonitor residents and document observations in medical recordsCollaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individual care plansEducate residents and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care measuresAssist with health coaching and disease management for residents with chronic conditionsPerform specialized procedures such as DME fitting, medical imaging, specimen collection processing, and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) managementProvide support and care for residents with special needs or dementiaAssist with family planning servicesCurrent FL RN licenseMaster's degree in nursing (MSN) preferred; BSN requiredMinimum 6 years of nursing experienceMinimum 3 years working with developmentally disabled individualsValid FL Driver's License with acceptable driving recordMust pass a Level II background check including a drug & TB screeningExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and staffAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environmentCompassionate and empathetic approach to patient carePHP/FPDC is an intermediate care facility for the intellectually and developmentally disabled.
