TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Bangor, Maine, 04401 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Job Specialty: Surgical Job Duration: 26 weeks preferred, not required Shift: 7A-7P, 12-hour Day Shift Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Med/Tele; general post-surgical experience required License: Active RN License in good standing Certifications: BLS, basic EKG certification (ability to read/interpret cardiac rhythm strips) Must-Have: - Telemetry experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation - Experience with vascular surgical patients - Comfort in post-op care, including ortho and vascular surgeries Job Description: - Monitor and assess post-surgical patients, particularly in telemetry settings - Care for patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures, such as bariatric, vascular, urology, general/GI, ortho, ENT, plastics, and neurosurgery - Manage medical overflow cases including CHF, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, and more - Handle telemetry for remote cardiac rhythm monitoring - Apply skills in peripheral IV starts, tube feedings, TPN, trach care, chest tubes, bladder irrigation, drain management, wound vacs, heparin, and insulin drips - Work closely with a care team including CNAs, charge nurses, and hospitalists - Ensure proper documentation and patient care under unit protocols - Adhere to professional standards and scrubs dress code Additional Support: - Chargenurse tends to have a floating role - Resource Nurse available during day shifts - Support from therapists and physician assistants available throughout shifts 26025375EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Each assignment introduces you to new colleagues, mentors, and professionals in the healthcare industry.
