TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Bangor, Maine, 04401 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Job Specialty: Cardiac Medical Surgical Telemetry Job Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 7P-7A, 12-Hour Night Shifts Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: State RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Chest Tubes experience - Preferred: Temp pacemakers, Cardiac drips (Cardizem, amiodarone) protocols for rate changes - Ability to read and interpret rhythm strips - Charge experience (not mandatory but preferred) Job Description: - Provide care to cardiac medical and post-surgical/procedure patients including those with CHF, angina, acute MI, NSTEMI, cardiac arrest, and arrhythmias. - Patient care for TAVR, Watchman, CABG, MVR, AVR, EP studies, pacemaker/AICD, TEE, TTE, stress tests, and post-cardiac catheterization. - Monitor all unit beds with telemetry. - Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 for RNs during both day and night shifts. - Willingness to occasionally float to other cardiac units if necessary. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, RT, and hospitalists. - Utilize the Cerner charting system for patient documentation. - Adhere to weekend rotation with every other weekend shifts. - No holiday time-off granted. - Professional appearance with any color scrubs. - Participate in hospital orientation and one shift orientation on the unit.
