We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join our growing Roadway/Highway design team in the Kansas City region. The ideal candidate for this role will be an EIT with experience working on local agency and/or DOT roadway design projects. Our Roadway/Highway Design team is involved in a wide variety of street, roadway, highway and multi-modal transportation design projects for local public agencies and state DOT's.

\n In this position, the candidate will:Prepare preliminary design plans, documents, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers.Conduct analyses and perform standard computations, drawings, and visual aids for projects.May coordinate work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or other staff.Collaborate with the design team to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Conduct field inspections to gather relevant data and contribute to site assessments.Utilize design software and tools for drafting and modeling.Support the development of cost estimates for projects.Perform quality control self-checks of assigned work.Perform other duties as assigned.
