Lochmueller group is seeking an experienced and energetic Roadway/Highway Design Project Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Roadway/Highway Design team. As a Roadway Design Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure that connects communities, ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation solutions that positively impact people's daily lives for years to come. This position can be based anywhere in South Carolina.
Lochmueller Group is a regional engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure.  We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local agencies and state DOT's.

\n Responsibilities of this role will include: Serving as a project engineer in the planning and execution of local agency and/or DOT roadway design projects.Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.Conducting engineering analysis and design.Preparing and reviewing project documentation, reports, and specifications.Applying engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria to support project execution.Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met.Collaborating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.May assign work to junior engineers or other staff. Depending on the experience level of the selected candidate, this role may be involved in other various responsibilities, such as project management.
