We are looking for an experienced Senior Roadway Project Manager to join our firm in Central Illinois. In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in not only managing roadway design projects but also playing a key role in our efforts to grow our team and the roadway service line in the regional market. Lochmueller Group is a regional engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure.  We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but much of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local agencies and state DOT's.

\n Key responsibilities of this role will include: Team Leadership: Assist in building the roadway team in Central Illinois. As the team grows, this position will lead the team to produce high quality deliverables on roadway projects, provide mentorship and guidance to junior-level engineers and other team members, and foster a collaborative and positive work environment among the team.Project Management: Serve as a project manager for roadway/highway design projects, overseeing and participating in project execution from initiation to completion. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.Project Delivery & Quality: Perform quality checks on work performed by project team members. Provide leadership in the planning, design, and execution of major projects. Prepare project documents, design, conduct analyses, interpret data, and plan and coordinate the engineering work to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Review and approve project deliverables, including drawings and specifications. Serve as a technical expert in this discipline. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement measures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality of work. Client Relationship Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of service, communication, and client satisfaction. Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and assist with business development. Prepare proposals and/or funding applications.
