We are currently looking for an ambitious R&D Robotics Engineer II to join our Endovascular Robotics business within Advanced Therapies. We are a global technology leader in robotic-assisted vascular interventions. We believe the combination of endovascular robotics, image guidance and dedicated devices will change the way neurovascular procedures will be done in the future, enabling better outcomes, and enabling our customers to provide better access to care.

As aR&D Robotics Engineer IIyou will be responsible for:
Contribution to the development of the complex mechanical & electromechanical systems of the next generation robotic platform.      
Adoption and continuous improvement of the best practices in model-based design methodologies, development processes and tools in mechatronics domain.
Definition, design, and development of all sensors, actuators, related circuits, and control systems in collaboration with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and systems engineering.
Define and develop the mechatronics interfaces across system in collaboration with other stakeholders. 
Adoption and continuous improvement of mechanical engineering design principles of capital equipment and mechanisms combined with application of static, dynamic, and kinematic analyses.
Design and develop electromechanical sub-systems including concepts generation, CAD design, analyses, documentation, verification, and design for manufacturing & assembly, and design for reliability for new products.
Lead/contribute to the definition of system characterization and testing requirements, creating design descriptions and specifications, authoring testing protocols, conduct and/or oversee testing, and issue resolution.
Postprocess the corresponding test results using mechanical engineering principals and statistical theories. 
Document the process, design description, test protocols, and test reports.

You are able to apply your strong analytical and problem-solving methodologies including mathematical modeling, simulations and control theories to design, development, and optimization of the state-of-the-art complex mechanical systems.
You are experienced in electromechanical engineering design principles of capital equipment and modeling such systems using statics, dynamics, kinematics, and vibration analyses as well as, system analysis, signal processing, and control theory in different phases of product life cycle. 
You must be highly proficient with current development tools, software, practices, and processes.

Required skills to have for the success of this role:
MSc in mechatronics, robotics, electronics or mechanical engineering. BSc may be also considered.
3-5 years experience in the product development role (preferably in developing medical devices) is preferred. 
Experience using analytical and simulation tools including: 
MATLAB and Simulink. At least one year-experience with Simulink Real-Time and Hardware in the Loop required. 
SolidWorks CAD modeling, SolidWorks SIM. 3D Tolerance tools are highly desired.
LabVIEW, sensors and DAQ systems, GUI type applications.
Strong communication and presentation skills required.
