Job Title: Roll Technician Role & Responsibilities: · Support the production departments by maintaining a fleet of hardened roll set tooling.
· Program and operate CNC lathe to cut full roll sets as well as single passes to meet production line needs.
· Evaluate roll set tooling to determine what machining is required to get the tooling back to running condition.
· Read and review drawings and sample rolls to understand specifications of machined components.
· Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and other gages to ensure specification conformance of machined parts.
· Provide necessary CAD drawing maintenance as required to maintain good quality engineering prints.
· Provide sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on a "hands on" approach.
Qualifications & Requirements: · Experience with programming, setting up, and running CNC lathes, including CAM programming for lathe operations.
· Experience with manual tool room equipment, such as drill presses, mills, and grinders.
· Broad shop knowledge of manufacturing processes
· Experience in roll mill pass design preferred.
· Ability to read and comprehend a variety of precision measuring devices.
· Proficiency in CAD software technology and mechanical design work preferred.
· Interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and constructively in a dynamic and changing work environment.
· Ability to respond to instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
