The SHE Technician - Environment will play a critical role in ensuring our organization's compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations. This position will focus on monitoring and maintaining environmental health and safety standards, managing on site hazardous waste, waste water treatment and air quality programs, and leading environmental permitting processes.

Your key responsibilities
Perform safety inspections to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, particularly in areas related to environmental risks such as hazardous materials, chemical spills, and waste water.
Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permits concerning waste water, air quality, and hazardous materials.
Prepare and maintain records for regulatory agencies and internal audits in compliance with environmental laws such as the Clean Water Act (CWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and other relevant statutes.
Conduct regular inspections of waste water systems and treatment facilities to ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations.
Assist in obtaining and maintaining necessary air quality permits, including New Source Review (NSR) and Title V permits.
Monitor and report on air emissions from operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal air quality standards.

You bring
Health and Safety, or a related field. Additional certifications such as a Waste Water Operator Certification, HAZWOPER, or other relevant environmental/safety certifications are a plus.
2+ years of experience in environmental regulation, health and safety, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with waste water treatment systems, air quality permitting, and environmental compliance monitoring. Familiarity with environmental laws, rules, and regulations, including but not limited to the Clean Water Act (CWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), and RCRA.
Practical experience in health, safety and environmental areas including lockout-tagout-tryout, work at heights, lifting and hoisting, inspections and audits of the safety program, root cause analysis, health risk assessment, risk reduction training, hazard communication, industrial hygiene, etc.; proven track record of success establishing meaningful, interpersonal relationships through the ability to influence, with personnel at all levels.
Strong knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations, particularly related to air permitting, waste water management, and hazardous materials.
Proficiency in using environmental monitoring equipment and software for reporting and analysis.
