Job Description of SSHOAn immediate need for an experienced Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) specializing in construction in Berlin Center, OH. This is a two week assignment. The SSHO is preferredto have completed the 40-Hour EM 385-1-1 training and have a minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience. It is preferred that the candidate is credentialed (e.g.
BS, MS, OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500, ASP, GSP, CSP, CHST, STSC, etc.).The SSHO will work directly for the General Contractor. Duties will include but are not limited to:Oversee the Environmental, Health and Safety compliance for the projectsConduct documented daily EHS inspectionsDeliver site specific project EHS orientationsAssist with coordinating crane activitiesParticipate in the Daily Hazard Analysis processInvestigate incidents to determine root cause and develop corrective and preventative actionsWork closely with the project leadership teams to assist with facilitating and injury free workplaceCollect and analyze leading and lagging indicators to determine trends and put actions into place to address concernsReview subcontractor Accident Prevention Plans (APP) and assist with plan development when neededEnsure subcontractors are adhering to their APPMake certain subcontractor craft workers are appropriately trained for their required tasksDeliver various EHS training modules
Minimum Requirements5+ years of experience in safety specializing in constructionComputer knowledge and efficiency, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office productsOSHA 30 Construction
Education/CertificationBS/MS in a related fieldOSHA 500/510ASP/GSP/CSP/CHST/STSCby Jobble
