The Rush Companies is looking for an experienced Safety Manager to join our team. The Safety Manager is responsible for supervising the company's Health and Safety Program and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company regulations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assists Division Lead(s), Site Superintendent(s), and Foreman on jobsites with adherence to company safety and loss control policies Work with project teams to look for creative solutions to reduce work risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices Assists in the documentation and implementation of required or desired changes in the safety program Evaluates subcontractor safety programs for comprehensiveness and compliance with The Rush Companies policies Ensures full compliance of safety plan Controls hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee practices through site visits, safety plans, and education of all supervisory personnel Reviews documentation of all required onsite records and reports are complete, accurate, and submitted per established procedures Reinforces safety awareness in a manner that promotes cooperation and improved morale Assists with worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous conditions monitoring, and use of safety equipment Conducts work area inspections and assists in personal injury investigations Provides job orientation to crew at jobsites Provides technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of general construction experience with emphasis on health and safety; understanding of applicable federal, state, local and company regulations Ability to recognize on-site risk factors and take appropriate action with firmness and tact Experience with MS Office suite of applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Ability and willingness to travel to project locations within the greater Puget Sound region Certified First Aid/CPR OSHA 30 Certification Compensation/Benefits Compensation: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 (DOE) Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401 (K) matching, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Time Off and Bonus Pay Physical Requirements The overall nature of the position requires constant light physical exertion with minimal physical effort frequently required.
