Job Summary:
A Safety Manager is needed for a company that makes and sells products under various brand names that are available in supermarkets, restaurants, and food service establishments in the Oakdale, CA area. This role manages health and safety programs in a plant environment to build a safety-focused culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive initiatives to achieve zero-injury performance through training, analysis, and continuous improvement.

Salary: $54.83 - 65.00 per hour
Work Hours: 8am to 4pm

Responsibilities:Oversee all health and safety program aspects.Develop and monitor accident-free programs to ensure a safe workplace.Plan and conduct workplace safety training for all staff levels.Assist in accident investigations and prepare required reports for regulatory agencies.Conduct plant inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and suggest corrective actions.Facilitate Central Safety Committee processes and act as a resource for subcommittees.Administer initial Workers' Compensation procedures.Determine and coordinate compliance training to meet OSHA and company requirements.Skills:Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Proven experience in building and leading teams.In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and state/federal compliance requirements.Ability to conduct risk assessments, audits, and interpret technical safety instructions.Skills in regulatory report writing, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene or Safety Management.At least five years of industrial safety experience.CSP certification preferred.Qualifications:Experience level: ExperiencedEducation: BachelorsSkills:SafetyComplianceEqual Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
