You will be part of a team of information specialists, problem solvers, and the first smiles our guests see when entering the park. As a Sales and Customer Service Specialist, you are the front-line sales specialist and on-site support for our guests and most importantly, you are part of their journey while pursuing their own personal adventure goals!
Starting Pay: $13 – $15 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Part-time on-site, must be available to work Thursday through Sunday. Potential advancement opportunity for full-time hybrid remote position (to be discussed during interview).
Position Description: Primary responsibilities include: Answer questions, book reservations, and provide driving directions Generate and close new leads Establish relationships and build rapport to generate and close sales Work with organizations to register as an approved vendor Reach out to schools, churches, community, civic, and corporate organizations to expand client base and become an approved vendor Identify special event platforms and announcement boards, and submit details about park events to increase Geronimo presence and community awareness. Identify and advertise at local conferences Manage Point of Sale (POS) system Provide general administrative support such as research and creating, editing, and posting documents Write reports and complete various paper and electronic forms Other responsibilities and training include: Welcome and check-in guests Sell merchandise and our unique adventure experiences Maintain and stock various merchandise/products General office duties such as maintaining printers and other electronic devices Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Welcome Center and the park Train other employees on all aspects of Welcome Center operations Assign tasks to other employees and monitor performance Provide basic first aid As necessary, may participate in general park maintenance projects, cleaning etc. Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Training is provided and includes skills that complement sales, administrative, and clerk professionals. This includes: Sales, POS systems, and general park administration Reporting and data management Safety and risk management First Aid / CPR certification Qualities we are looking for: An adventurous spirit and a passion for the outdoors Excellent customer service skills A great attitude and spectacular work ethic High attention to detail, even when under stress Personal satisfaction from providing unforgettable experiences for our guests Professional and punctual; able to work under own initiative without continuous direct supervision Basic IT skills: word processing, spreadsheets, Point of Sale, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc. Knowledge of general customer support protocols and telephone etiquette Work in a collaborative team environment Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and guests Reliable method of transportation to work Personable, welcoming, compassionate, high energy, and fun!
