Job Summary: The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for driving growth by identifying qualifying and developing new business opportunities within targeted markets. This role focuses on outbound prospecting working closely with the sales and marketing teams to build a strong pipeline of leads. The SDR will be the first point of contact for potential clients and will work to cultivate relationships that eventually convert into longterm partnerships for the company. Essential Functions: Achieve lead generation goals Proactively identify and engage new business opportunities within target markets and industries through outbound calls emails social media and digital buyer intent. Research and analyze potential customers ensuring alignment with company offerings and market needs. Establish and nurture initial contact with prospects introducing JLG s services and value propositions. Set up qualified meetings and appointments for the sales team by effectively moving leads through the sales funnel. Maintain consistent communication with potential clients regularly following up on past contacts to continue building relationships. Accurately document all customer interactions in the CRM system for seamless handoff to the sales team. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams Work closely with Business Development Managers and marketing to execute targeted campaigns and maximize outreach efforts. Provide feedback to the marketing team on the effectiveness of campaigns lead sources and areas of improvement. Collaborate in the development of new scripts strategies and messaging that align with market trends and customer needs. Utilize CRM and lead management tools Effectively manage leads and opportunities in the CRM system ensuring uptodate and accurate information. Track and report on KPIs including lead volume conversion rates and pipeline activity. Ensure data hygiene and accuracy of all customer records in the CRM for optimized followup and reporting. Performs administrative responsibilities as required: Maintain accurate records of all lead generation and prospecting activities. Realtime CRM updates for all interactions and followup activities to support pipeline management and forecasting Work with the sales team to refine lead qualification processes and optimize pipeline management. Achieve complete customer satisfaction during initial interactions Respond promptly and professionally to inbound inquiries and route them appropriately. Ensure seamless and positive customer experiences during the initial engagement setting the stage for longterm relationships. Build trust and credibility by effectively understanding customer pain points and positioning JLG s services as solutions.
