About the job SamaCare — Sales Development Representative/Territory Manager SamaCare gives medical practices tools to eliminate the administrative barriers that limit patient access to life-changing therapies. Insurance-related administrative hassles for prescription drugs result in worse outcomes for patients, delayed therapy, and over $100B of administrative waste for the US healthcare system. Medical providers are forced to manage these workflows on stone age technology (fax, calls, and snail mail).
SamaCare has built a software platform to lhelp practices streamline those administrative workflows and a two-sided business model that has scaled to hit medical offices serving nearly 5 million patients (and growing rapidly). As a VC-funded company, we're building a team to help us scale so that every patient gets access to the right treatment at the right time.
Role Overview: As the Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for building a prospect pipeline of new medical practices and closing them on a demonstration of the Samacare free platform, as well as cultivating relationships and managing a robust funnel. Because this is a free product to medical practices — we monetize through premium services we deliver to drug companies and other third parties — the main challenges of the "sale" are around getting in the door and keeping the process moving quickly to completion. You will need to bring creativity and relentless drive to break through the noise that medical practices wade through when it comes to selecting technology solutions. We are a small and growing team, so you must have the ability to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. You will report to your RBM (Regional business Manager) or ASM (Area Sales Manager) as well as the Head of U.S. Sales.
You will be: Generating new medical practice leads, qualifying and working closely with your supervisor to bring new clinics onto our free platform.
Solving complex business problems with your manager and counter-parts.
Creating and following processes to ensure you can successfully reach and engage medical practices at an accelerated rate.
Attending industry conferences to get our message out and to acquire new practice customers.
Working a comprehensive business growth plan for your territory.
Maintaining a clean CRM.
Cold calling. Executing campaigns. Generating leads and consistently documenting follow-up.
Consistent collaboration, communication and reporting cadence.
Although a remote position, some travel required.
We are looking for someone who: Has a documented history of 1-4 years of exceeding sales or lead generation targets.
Inside and or outside sales experience required. Medical industry experience preferred.
Is curious and scrappy and able to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
Can quickly adapt to a fast-paced startup environment.
Strong communicator with a high level of EQ.
Team player that simply wants to win and places the collective goals above oneself.
Advancement and promotion opportunities tied to performance.
