The Sales Director is responsible for executing the commercial strategy of the business. They are responsible for customer/market segmentation, customer retention, margin expansion, pipeline development, customer satisfaction, and managing a high-performance team. The Business Director will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our enterprise business through execution ensuring achievement of sales targets, expanding market presence, and contributing to the overall success of the organization. FLSA Classification Exempt Reports to Vice President Essential Job Duties Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company goals Define clear objectives, sales targets, and action plans to achieve revenue growth Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets Foster a high-performance culture and provide ongoing training and development Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners Collaborate with the team to identify and capitalize on upsell and cross-sell opportunities Identify opportunities for market expansion and lead initiatives to penetrate new markets Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics Conduct regular sales forecasting and analysis to track performance against targets Provide insights and recommendations based on data-driven assessments Work collaboratively with the executive team to set and manage sales budgets Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective sales operations Develop and implement strategies to optimize margins while maintaining volumes Conduct thorough market analysis to identify key customer segments and their unique needs Develop targeted strategies and value propositions for different customer segments Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in STEM disciplines or Business Administration, Management, with relevant work experience in a technical field Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite is required Demonstrated experience leading across multiple functions, including marketing, supply chain, sales, business development, and operations. Previous experience in a B2B environment, a plus! Strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting.
