We are headquartered in Santa Clara, California, but this position is for the Central U.S region (remote).
Job Description: This Sales Engineer (SE) role at Ordr is responsible for providing high-level technical expertise and sales support on Ordr's products. These products are used to identify, classify, and determine the Cybersecurity risk of IoT, IoMT, OT, and ICS devices. This work will require knowledge in deep packet inspection, micro-segmentation networking, and integrations with other IT tools, along with the high level of sales skills required to develop customer and product specific success criteria to drive PoV success.
Essential Functions:
Perform product demonstrations and presentations at customer sites, partner sites, company road show's and eventsMaintain a broad level of knowledge of industry trends and how Ordr products add valueLeverage hands-on technical experience for complicated customer network issues which requires deep and solid knowledge of not only how networking protocols work, but also, more importantly, how the traffic flows inside the products, from one switch to another, and how that packet affects the end analysis of the device(s) in the Ordr system.Filling out highly complex RFP's and RFI's that leverage many different security methodologies, network technologies, along with the Ordr systems.Handle high priority/sensitive customer issues during the PoV period and ensure prompt service restoration and resolution to the customer's satisfaction.Work with Ordr's customers to analyze the problems and resolve the immediate problem through careful analysis of the performance of Ordr's products in the customer's network, as well as any pending issues with other vendor's products.Facilitate the technical interaction among the escalation team, engineering and the customer.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executivesExceptional written communication. This role requires an ability to understand and articulate both the business benefits (value proposition) and technical advantages of the Ordr solutionResilience and ability to handle stressful situations effectively while managing several tasksTools & Technologies Utilized:
Layer3 Protocols – ARP, IPV4, IPV6, Neighbor discovery for V6, VRRP, SNMPOperating systems –Linux OS, Cisco IOS, Firewall SystemsNetworking Tools: Utilize Wireshark tool for packet analysis, Visio for network drawings, Secure CRT and Putty for device access, FTP and SFTP for file transfersEducational Requirement:
To fulfill customer needs and effectively perform all the duties outlined above, this position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering field or have at least 8+ years of prior Sales Engineering Experience in a relevant field
