Job Overview: The US Sales Representative will play a crucial role in driving revenue and profit growth for our client by generating and maintaining strong customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities within the territory.
This remote position, based in the Atlanta, GA area, requires frequent travel to Canada and the USA, and is vital for expanding our client's market presence and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Customer Relations: Act as the primary contact for customers, providing support and maintaining strong relationships.
Regularly visit and communicate with customers to maintain and service existing business.
Identify key decision-makers within each customer company and develop positive business relationships.
Technical Support: Support customers and sales representatives with technical issues, questions, or concerns.
Provide technical, quality, manufacturing, and engineering product support by resolving customer claims and complaints professionally.
Business Development: Develop and grow new business within the territory, focusing on key projects of strategic importance.
Organize and conduct testing, technical evaluations, and investigations to support business development activities.
Report customer progress on testing, evaluation, and investigations to the Sales Manager.
Pricing and Accounts Receivable: Support key pricing initiatives and maintain up-to-date account receivables according to agreed payment terms.
Follow up on delinquent and overdue receivables.
Forecasting and Analysis: Ensure frequent review of account base forecasts to maximize accuracy.
Monitor forecast and product sales performance, providing management with analysis and feedback.
Reporting: Enter call reports into the CRM system and submit monthly reports on sales territory analyses.
Resolve customer complaints by utilizing the QNS process and coordinating closely with customer service.
Develop solutions, prepare reports, and make recommendations to management.
Requirements include: Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in the Packaging, Pulp, Paper, Coating, and Barrier industry.
5-7 years of sales experience.
Minimum of three years of professional experience in sales with exposure to marketing, planning, and the chemical industry.
Skills: Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a matrix organization.
Strong sense for technical application and understanding of chemistry.
Strong skills in management of action plans.
Excellent planning, execution, and project management skills.
Ability to think outside the box and take fast, successful actions.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in sales or technical fields are a plus.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Packaging, Pulp, Paper, Coating, and Barrier industry.
Understanding of technical applications and chemistry.
