Job Title: Sales Representative Employee Type: Full Time Exempt Reports to: VP of Sales Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5, occasional overnight, weekend, and travel required Location: Based in St. Louis or Illinois area About the Company Illini Environmental is a non-hazardous waste processing facility located in Caseyville, Illinois. Illini Environmental is an EPA Permitted Non-Hazardous Disposal Facility that services clients in the Midwest and actively maintains environmental risk management to mitigate exposure to potential liability. We reduce environmental risk and produce new value stream for any product or process by redefining what it means to work with managed material.
Summary Illini Environmental, a leading provider of comprehensive waste management solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, developing, and maintaining relationships with clients, and meeting sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental services and a proven track record of success in sales.
Duties/Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other sales techniques.Maintain a sufficient level of weekly face-to-face sales calls with existing and prospective customers.Follow-up on any assigned leads generated by the company.Respond to customer requests in a timely fashion by phone, email, or in person.Follow all guidelines and programs set up by the VP of Sales and other senior management.Work closely with additional company resources including estimators and project managers.Report sales activities on a regular basis through CRM entry and other requested reports.Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partners.Attend industry events and trade shows to generate leads and promote the company's services.Prepare and present proposals to potential clients.Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.Keep up to date with industry trends and regulations. Skills/Abilities Knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste management desired.Understanding of environmental related services such as industrial services and site remediation services is a plus for the purpose of selling all lines of business.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Superior sales and negotiation skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.Proven track record of success in sales.Strong communication and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products.Experience in using CRM programs for documenting sales activities and opportunities.Valid driver's license. Education and Experience Bachelor's degreeMinimum of 3 years of experience in environmental services salesPrevious experience in the environmental/waste services desired Physical/Environment Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Visiting/Touring Outside elements and worksites in extreme heat or coldMust be willing to travel 90% and travel locally What to Expect A work environment that enables people to do their best work, gain new skills, advance their careers, and be their best selves.
