The Sales Support Specialist performs administrative tasks to support the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction. The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for daily communication as needed and will ensure all orders are processed in a timely manner. Confirms orders daily following standard protocols in the customer order system. Expedites orders as needed providing shipping information regularly. Follows process to ensure orders are complete and billing information is correct. Makes corrections based on changes in the order or scope of the project. Researches solutions for customer needs which includes material, vendors, pricing and provides information to the sales team for a decision. Answers customer questions about order status as needed. Responds to customer emails quickly based on research and information from the sales team. Handles all back end administrative duties for the customer account including troubleshooting assistance for orders, account status, billing inquiries and other issues. Performs any data entry needed and maintains all records in an organized and accessible manner. Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with internal associates and management. Maintains customer specific expedite reports Assists team with project submittals Performs general business support functions to include but not limited to data entry, filing, creating, maintaining and editing documents, auditing and reviewing data, creating spreadsheets, address labels and envelopes for mailing and other administrative duties as required. Assists Sales team with order management and material expediting. Can perform other duties as assigned. Education : High school diploma or GED Associate or 4 Year Degree Experience : 1-2 Years administrative experience in a high-volume department Experience working with electrical and/or lighting products Core Competencies : Must be highly detailed oriented Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and switch priorities as needed Excellent writing skills for email communication Strong competence in research using different resources Team player Strong customer service skills Problem solver and solutions-oriented Demonstrates sense of urgency without sacrificing quality of result Other Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
