As the API Architect, you will Lead & collaborate with multi-functional teams to drive API strategy, design, implementation, and monitoring while defining the API's features, security setup, internal/external onboarding process, and scalability. The preferred candidate will have
Experience with Hybrid multi-cloud (Mix of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and on-prem) applications, building the framework to drive reusability using API. Requirements: US Citizenship (Required) Active SECRET Clearance (Required) BA/BS Degree (Required) Five Years of related work experience (Required) Skills: 5+ years of experience in end-to-end API lifecycle from design, development, management Validated expertise across multiple API platforms, gateways, and APIs for government agencies. Led API strategy/roadmap initiatives considering business objectives in coordination with Developers, Partners, Customers, and Business Users Experience driving the entire API development lifecycle from design & build to governance & management. Salesforce Certified Applications Architect SME in MuleSoft, CPIS, and SAP APIM, including API proxies, mashups, rate limiting, security, analytics, monetization, and developer portals. Experience with design, development, and deployment of SOA-based architecture for a large organization demonstrating multiple COTS Business applications is preferred!Experience with Tomcat, XML, JMS, XSLT, WS-*, SOA/Integration, and API Management technologies and standards. Experience with using a JAVA IDE (Eclipse, Intelli J, Netbeans) Experience with common web connectivity and integration standards/protocols such as XML, SOAP, REST, JSON, and JDBC Programming Languages: Node.js, Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, XML, Java Mail, JNDI, SOA, servlet, Struts, J2EE pattern. Proficient in writing multi-threaded processes using MuleSoft APIs, Mule batch jobs, and Mule flows with Anypoint Platform Preferred: Master's degree in computer science (financial services domain preferred experience from a large organization and have defined Unified Strategy, bringing standardization and API governance Residence in the greater Washington D.C. region: Virginia, the District, or Maryland. Ways to stand out from the crowd: Have background in establishing API web services for government agencies and the financial services sector.
