Salon Assistant

At Sabour Beauty, we believe that healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. We're looking for a shampoo assistant to join our team and help us provide our clients with the best possible experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in hair and beauty, and a willingness to learn. He or she will be responsible for shampooing and rinsing clients' hair, as well as providing scalp massages. The shampoo assistant will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the shampoo area.
Responsibilities:
Assist the stylist in providing excellent customer service by greeting and seating guests in a timely mannerMaintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shiftHelp maintain the cleanliness of the salon by sweeping up hair after each guestStock shampoo bowls with fresh towels and supplies before each guest arrivesHelp guests get comfortable in the shampoo chairApply pre-shampoo treatments to guests' hair as directedMassage guests' scalps during shampooing to relax them and promote circulationRinse guests' hair thoroughly and apply conditioner as directedHelp style guests' hair after shampooing and conditioning as directedUpsell salon products and services to guestsCheck out guests and schedule future appointments as neededRequirements and skills
High school diploma or equivalentCosmetology student preferred or previous experience in a salonAbility to stand for long periods of timeComfortable working in close proximity to othersExcellent communication skillsA positive, professional attitudeA willingness to learn
