**This is a 2nd shift position (6pm - 6am)** The Sanitation Lead supports the sanitation team to ensure all equipment and facilities meet customer specifications, company policies, and regulatory standards for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety. This role requires hands-on involvement in sanitation tasks while leading and developing a motivated, well-trained team. Sanitation Operations: Ensure sanitation tasks are completed according to Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP). Clean non-washdown equipment, including electrical boxes, cords, and motors. Sanitize equipment using chemicals, power washers, and manual cleaning tools (brushes or scrub pads). Disassemble and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning. Operate floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and forklifts to discard heavy waste. Perform janitorial duties as needed, including sweeping, mopping, and waste removal. Clean coolers, cooling belts, and overhead storage using a man lift when required. Compliance & Safety: Follow SQF procedures to maintain food safety and quality standards. Read and follow chemical labels to ensure the safe use of cleaning agents. Monitor cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when inventory is low. Inspect equipment to verify cleanliness and compliance with sanitation standards. Report any safety or equipment issues to the supervisor promptly. Customer and Product Focus: Support the production of high-quality products by adhering to GMPs and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies. Ensure all work is performed in a manner that exceeds customer and consumer expectations. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
