Summary: The Sanitation Supervisor will plan, coordinate and direct the cleaning and sanitation program designed to maintain a high level of food safety and product quality. Oversee the cleaning and sanitation of food processing machinery, equipment, utensils, and facility. Responsible to understand and promulgate, through instruction and training, the appropriate cleaning and sanitation chemical application and their uses for the safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of the sanitation crew. Key Responsibilities: Maintain, through hands-on instruction and guidance to the sanitation crew, cleaning and sanitation protocols in accordance with the company Master Sanitation ProgramOversee the sanitation crew's utilization of chemicals and cleaning agents to clean and sanitize processing area walls, floor, and equipmentSupervise the appropriate placement of refuse and the use of sanitation tools in a proper and safe mannerEnsure the removal of debris from processing areaCommunicate chemicals supply levels to managementCompile and store sanitation compliance data and reportsAct as a safety leader promoting safe work behaviors and overall plant safety at all times.Maintain and oversee proper use of equipmentVerify efficacy of daily cleaning through both the use of Hygiena ATP testing unit and thorough daily preoperational inspections with the sanitation crew still present. Initiate immediate corrective actions to ensure all surfaces are adequately cleaned and sanitized prior to all production. Conduct new hire and ongoing job and safety training for the sanitation crew. Participate in management and strategic planning meetings in the pursuit of operational excellenceBecome and maintain certification as an electric pallet jack and forklift operatorPerform other duties as assignedWhat You Bring to Pacific Seafood: Required: High school diploma or GEDMinimum one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a food processing environment.Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)Preferred: Prior experience with HACCP, COOL Act, or other food safety programs.Prior forklift and pallet jack experience.Forklift certificationMust be able to work varied work schedules.Pay Range: $21.98 - $23.60 hourly Total Compensation: At Pacific Seafood, your base wage is only a portion of your overall compensation package.
