Job Title: Sanitation Worker Reports To: Director, Sanitation POSITION SUMMARY The Sanitation Worker will be responsible for working various roles in our Carlstadt, NJ facility. This candidate should be reliable, accountable, and a team player. This role requires someone who can work a flexible schedule that may range Monday – Friday, from 2PM – 10PM EST. This is a full-time position that averages 40 hours per week. Key Duties and Responsibilities:Disassemble equipment to properly clean and sanitize following food safety guidelines and regulations.Use pressure washer to clean machines, sanitize machines to meet USDA food safety standards, and mix chemicals safely.Clean all product contact surfaces throughout the plant to comply with requirements of the Food Safety and Inspection Service.Clean and sanitize assigned area, paying close attention to minor details of cleanliness and food safety.Inspect assigned areas and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety requirements and readiness for production.Follow all standard operation procedures and conduct tests to ensure food safety is by company standards.Play a critical role in assuring food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Mix chemicals, clean equipment to ensure food safety, keep facility clean.Monitor Health and Food Safety Standards and ensure plant meets standards.Make sure all equipment meets USDA standard for food safety.Participate in inspection and zone audits and ensure food safety.Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Good communication skills (Bi-lingual English and Spanish a plus)Strong work ethic and organizational skillsAble to work on foot for extended periods of timeAble to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environmentAble to work in 40° F refrigerated facilityEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience a plus but not required.The Benefits of Joining Our Team:Medical, Vision, Dental, Life, Critical Illness, and Accident Insurance offered.Employee Assistance Program.401(k) after 6 months of servicePaid holidays and paid sick time.Employee Referral Program.In-house safety training and equipment certification.Upward mobility & bonus opportunities.About Us: Wonder Meats Inc. has been family owned and operated since 1971.
