Summary: Provide ongoing SAP support, and delivery new solutions primarily within MULTIVAC Americas using SAP expertise to handle complex / new configuration based on Multivac template. Work as a member of the MULTIVAC competence center to provide global support as requested. Position will have dotted-line functional reporting to Corporate IT Team Lead in Germany.
Time Utilization: This position may travel internationally up to 20%. Normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customer schedules. Ability to work outside normal working hours as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Analyze business requirements and work closely with users on development, configuration, and implementation of SAP applications, including customization, to fit business needs (mainly in SAP SD).Assist with ongoing rollout and enhancement of SAP-SD.Develop cross-functional knowledge in SAP's other modules (MM, CS, PP, FI, C4C, APO, EWM).Collaborate and consult with international colleagues and external service providers to deliver highly dependable, secure, and integrated solutions to the business.Work closely with business users and corporate IT on integration of non-SAP applications with ERP system.Develop an understanding of the business processes and system architecture of the Multivac group.Translate business requirements into functional and technical scope and specifications.Identify opportunities and deliver system improvements and operational efficiencies to meet technical and business demands.Regularly liaise with users to provide system support, user training, documentation and promote IT services.Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.Serve as a key member on a global SAP team providing qualified support and consultancy services for MULTIVAC Group worldwide; and participate in global SAP rollouts and other global projects. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related field and 3 years of SAP experience with demonstrable techo-functional knowledge in SAP-SD (including a good understanding of the business process and system landscape). Configuration / customizing experience required. Experience with SAP MM, CS, PP, FI EWM, APO, the SAP C/4 Suite, S/4 HANA and ABAP a plus. Ability to manage small-to-medium-sized projects independently. Experience in business processes in manufacturing and sales environments preferred (if possible global machine industry).
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer/ Business Information Systems Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a thorough understanding of the value flows/business processes in SAP, as well as strong technical, functional, and configuration knowledge in SD modules. Other requirements include: proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, understanding of business processes in a manufacturing company and ability to translate processes into data flows in an ERP system, and understanding of IT concepts and tools (e.g. databases, interfaces, programming, and IT architectures). Programming skills (ABAP, Fiori) and prior project management experience are a plus.
Certificates and Licenses: Current valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position.
