Brodson Construction, Inc. is a boutique construction company with over 30 years of experience in general contracting and construction management in the high-end commercial, residential, hospitality, and retail arenas.
As a Scheduler at Brodson, you will be responsible for building and maintaining construction project schedules and assisting the preconstruction and project management teams by writing, updating, and monitoring each project schedule, highlighting delay and milestones, and providing guidance for schedule management strategy.
Essential to the role are communication and team building skills along with reporting, management and proven leadership capabilities.
You must have the ability to work independently, collaboratively, with full transparency, as required by the client/project.
In addition, you must be knowledgeable and responsible for developing, reviewing, reporting and supervising construction schedules.
We have projects in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
The Scheduler will work in our office located in the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami.
Work cross-functionally with preconstruction and project management to develop, update, and maintain schedules.
Integration a program master schedule for all projects.
Review master schedule for interface milestones and coordination between schedules and performance against baseline schedule.
Perform schedule reviews, prepare weekly, bi-weekly and/or monthly schedule update analysis reports, investigate and analyze schedule impacts and recommend corrective to be taken in order to mitigate/avoid cost and schedule overruns.
Monitor, review and report to senior and executive management the schedule status of the program.
Represent company and/or project in meetings with owner, A/E representatives and other contractors as required.
Develop "what-if" schedule scenarios, mitigation schedules, look-ahead schedules, time impact analysis.
Identify schedule issues, variations, opportunities and corrective actions to mitigate potential delays to projects.
Prepare reports as needed and directed by management (Weekly Construction Reports, cash flows, histograms, earned value reports, performance evaluations, etc) No phone calls or drop ins, please.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation, development of resource loaded Design and Construction Schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM).
Relevant construction scheduling experience in planning, scheduling, expediting, maintaining and reporting the progress/status of work.
Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and scheduling success.
Ability to evaluate potential impacts to the schedule for acceleration or delay.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Understanding of construction and construction means and methods Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or possess the equivalent combination of technical training and/or related professional experience.
5-7 years of proven experience working in the construction industry.
