Scheduling Coordinator  Our staffing agency is seeking a dedicated and organized Scheduling Coordinator to work onsite at our client's assisted living facility headquarters in Chapel Hill, NC , for a 12-week contract assignment. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the facility by managing the daily scheduling needs of staff across multiple home care facilities and handling on-call responsibilities when required
Duration: 12 weeks Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (Monday - Friday), with approved overtime for on-call requirements On-Call Requirements: Available for on-call duties outside of regular working hours as needed Pay Rate: $25 per hour *Same day pay options available with access to up to 50% of your earnings,  right after your shift , before payday! *
Qualifications: Education: - Medication Technician Certification required (Must be active on the Medication Aide Registry for Adult Care Homes)
- Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification is a plus but not required
Experience: - At least 6 months of previous scheduling experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility.

- Experience with scheduling software and tools
- At least 6 months of Medication Technician (Med-Tech) experience
Skills: - Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Personal Attributes: - Detail-oriented and proactive.
- Compassionate and empathetic towards staff and patients.
- Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Additional Requirements: - Two forms of identification (Driver's License and Social Security card)
- Most recent negative PPD (within last 12 months) OR Chest X-ray (within last 5 years)
- Current CPR Certification within the last two years.
- COVID Vaccination or Religious/Medical Exemption
- Clean criminal background and ability to pass a drug screening
- Reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities:  Staff Scheduling: - Develop and maintain weekly and monthly schedules for nursing and support staff across 8 home care facilities and individual home care residents. 
- Adjust schedules to accommodate staff requests, absences, and changes in care needs. 
- Ensure adequate coverage for all shifts, including holidays and weekends.
- Schedule appointments and care visits for home care patients under the client director's supervision.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and caregivers to meet patient care requirements. 
- Communicate schedule changes to patients and their families.
On-Call Duties: - Be available to respond to scheduling emergencies and fill last-minute shift vacancies. 
- Address urgent staff issues during on-call hours.
- Coordinate with on-call staff to ensure seamless operation during off-hours.
Administrative Tasks: - Maintain accurate records of staff schedules, attendance, and time-off requests.
- Prepare reports on scheduling metrics and staffing levels. 
- Assist with payroll processing by verifying hours worked and resolving discrepancies.
Communication: - Serve as the primary point of contact for staff regarding scheduling issues. 
- Communicate effectively with staff, patients, families, and healthcare providers. 
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of scheduling with facility needs.
Compliance: - Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding staffing levels.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to scheduling and time management.
CNA/Med Tech Duties: - Helping patients maintain their personal health and hygiene in their place of residence
- Shopping for groceries and preparing meals
- Grooming patients and handling basic logistics 
- Assisting with medical tasks such as checking vital signs and administering medication
- Providing long-term or intermittent care to clients who are unable to care for themselves or perform daily tasks
- Upkeeping their clients' hygiene, ensuring their safety, and facilitating social-emotional support
