We are looking for both part-time and full-time teachers to work in elementary and middle schools within Orange County. Zen Educate is looking for educators who are passionate about teaching and positively contributing to children's educational journey and their communities. Substitute teachers will support children in the classroom and gain exposure to schools and invaluable experience. Ideal Candidates: Retired teachers who still want to work and contribute to children learning; but do not want to grade assignments, lesson plans, or take on additional responsibilities. Graduate students who are looking to gain experience and classroom management skills. An opportunity to build relationships with schools and get some invaluable experience. Working professionals looking to transition to more meaningful work that contributes to society and the development of children need to gain some school experience. Key Responsibilities: Support the school where needed Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning Assign lessons and follow the classroom teacher's lesson plans Maintaining a safe learning environment Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the students' learning experiences and support them as needed Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a 4-yr college or university in the U.S. Currently have or will obtain a CA teaching credential or substitute teaching permit Pass a background check and negative TB test before the hiring date Preferred Requirements: Master's Degree Accredited Teacher Preparation Program Additional Requirements: Additional requirements include US Work Authorization.
