The School Psychologist will work closely with students, families, teachers, and administrators to support student academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development. Qualifications and Requirements : To work as a School Psychologist in Minnesota, the following licensure and certifications are required: Education : A masters degree or higher in School Psychology or Educational Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Completion of a school psychology preparation program approved by the Minnesota Department of Education. Licensure : Must hold or be eligible for a Minnesota School Psychologist License through the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) . Out-of-state candidates must apply for reciprocity through PELSB and meet Minnesotas standards for licensure. Certification : National certification through the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) is preferred but not required.
