Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required. Job Description: School Psychologist Qualifications: Required Education and Licensure: A master's degree, educational specialist degree, or doctorate in School Psychology from an accredited institution. Completion of a state-approved school psychology certification program. Valid Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) School Psychologist Certification . Additional Requirements: Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding special education (IDEA, Section 504, etc.). Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing IEPs. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of students, parents, and staff. Background checks and clearances, including: FBI Federal Criminal History Record Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school setting. Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is a plus. Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Psychologist to join our educational team and support students' academic, emotional, and social success. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to provide assessments, interventions, and consultation that promote positive outcomes for all learners. This role requires a deep commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive school environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments: Administer psychological and educational evaluations to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs of students. Develop individualized plans: Collaborate with educators and families to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans. Provide interventions: Offer evidence-based counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support to students. Consult and collaborate: Work with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs and improve the learning environment. Monitor progress: Track and report student outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed. Participate in meetings: Serve as an integral member of the student support team, attending IEP, 504 Plan, and other relevant meetings. Promote equity and inclusion: Advocate for practices that ensure access to education for all students, regardless of background or abilities. Stay compliant: Ensure all work adheres to state and federal guidelines, including Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) regulations. Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies. Ability to develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders. Understanding of child development, mental health, and learning processes. Familiarity with Massachusetts special education laws and IDEA regulations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing documentation and caseloads.
