Science Teacher, Upper Division

Role Overview Instruct upper division (grades 6-12) students in integrated and interdisciplinary project-based curriculum involving fundamental concepts from physical and life sciences. Design, implement, and refine interdisciplinary project-based learning experiences to provide students access to curricular content and skills through authentic, purpose-driven, and real-world projects. Ensure students achieve key learning outcomes in physical and life sciences and engineering practices, targeting instruction to address diverse individual learning needs and interests. Collaborate with colleagues both inside classroom and during extensive co-planning time to refine curriculum and develop interdisciplinary projects. Manage standards-based assessment system to provide students with feedback that allows them to monitor and reflect on their own learning. Utilize state-of-the-art information technology to support students and provide access to full resources of knowledge available online. Role requirements Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Education, Physics, or related scientific field, plus one academic year of experience teaching high school science curriculum as Science Teacher or related position at an international school required.
