GeneFab's mission is to make innovative genetic medicines available for all. Our synthetic biology team is a go-to R&D taskforce forbiotech and pharmaceutical companies across a wide variety ofdisease indications and therapeutic modalities in the cell and gene therapy space. Scientists on our team pairDNA, RNA, and protein engineering with massively parallel screeningto create technologies thatenhance the performance, precision, and safety of cell, gene, and nucleic acid therapies. We are looking for a scientist to join our synthetic biology team to design and execute research programs, develop technologies for our external partners, and expand GeneFab'sSynBioplatform. The scientist will collaborate with GeneFab's bioinformatics team to design and screen genetic elements (such as promoters, RNA elements, or protein coding sequences) for improved function in primary human cells and immortalized cell lines. In addition to technical proficiency, success in this role will require excellent communication skills for training research associates, internal and external presentation, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is curious and collaborative, with a record of successfully executing on multiple workflows at a time.
